TOO SOON LOST

Couldn’t see the consequences. Inhibited no longer by timidity
we too soon lost love’s intimate intimidation
as honest need succumbed to accustomed greed.
But I hunger still for the wonder of your mysteries –
yeah, by my testicles (my hallowed testament) –
even here, here, in the debris of our catastrophe.
