Her presence is ignored. 

Her son, daughter-in-law, grandson
And granddaughter have gone to a
matinee show. They may have their
launch at some royal restaurant. 

The white-haired woman once
Who had been a chef in a five star hotel
has to cook for herself only.
She loves to cook the favourite dishes for others. Though she has no favourite dish. 

An enthusiastic neighbour asks her,
"when will your son's family return home? "

" I don't know exactly ", she replies. 

Though they live under the same roof

She is  a thumb who keeps a safe distance from the remaining fingers.
